The student, now a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize, is fighting to safeguard the future of the planet and has become a model for young students from all over the world who took to the streets on Friday 15 March, without flags, to make their voices heard against climate change. The 'Global Strike For Future' received the support of about ninety countries and more than 1,325 cities and came after months of demonstrations, organized in the "Fridays for Future", every Friday in various cities on every continent. The 'Fridays for Future' were launched by sixteen-year-old Swedish Greta Thunberg, now a global symbol of this protest and of a global student movement which also includes over three thousand scientists.
