IN-DIFFERENCE podcast
We are pleased to present IN-Difenziale , a podcast conceived, written , recorded and narrated by the students of the 2nd year of high school , supervised by teachers Tiberio and Sfregola . Three short episodes in which r we will tell the story of the Pesante family, the only one in Trieste to have been awarded the title of Righteous Among the Nations. The Pesante , in fact, stood out for their extraordinary empathy towards Hemda Dlugacz , who they hid because she was exposed to the danger of deportation due to the racial laws, issued in Trieste on 18 September 1938 .
The project, born in the field of Civic Education, involved the students for about two and a half months, starting from the beginning of 2024. Each of the members of the class inserted something of their own, a piece, a personal observation, an idea that contributed to the completion of this essay to remember those who had the courage to leave the gray area, to try to make a difference.
