School calendar 2017-2018 NEW!! 12 APRIL 2019 A WELL of SCIENCE - Hera Group project for environmental education and the dissemination of scientific culture

Conference program :

9.30-11.00 Environment, what a dilemma!

11:30-13.00 Game conference - How hot it is: history of climate and populations

edited by Francesco Silvestri, Professor, Department of Economics, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia

Once again this year the high school adheres to the free educational project a well of science , an event of scientific and environmental dissemination dedicated to secondary schools.
The theme of this new edition will be the ecological mind , the real seed of the future . An extremely important and topical theme, because, in order to address complex issues such as loss of biodiversity , scarcity of resources, efficient use of energy and cutting of polluting sources, the challenge must inevitably involve every human being but with a new type of mentality : a thought, in fact, which must increasingly know how to integrate different disciplines, mixing economics, science, analysis of society, millenary philosophical traditions and advanced technologies. This multi-level gaze is the ecological mind, a dimension towards which to truly trigger the transition towards a more circular and sustainable model of society. A model that inevitably will lead, in ten or twenty years, to the development of new green-oriented professions : builders of body parts, memory surgeons or vertical farmers. Let's try to understand, projecting ourselves into the near future, what the evolution of our lives will be, and what working scenario future generations will find themselves facing.
