We thought of compiling a program that showed the absence of limits between dreams and reality, initially representing the sad and monotonous life of a girl who, thanks to a dream, gains confidence in herself and in her abilities and improves her lifestyle.

S UMMER SCHOOL OF PHILOSOPHY 2019 - THE URBAN REVOLUTION AND MODERNITY. The problem of the city, between philosophy, architecture and social sciences
The VII edition of the Summer School of Philosophy and Critical Theory will take place from 23 to 27 September 2019 at the Gorizia university campus , an in-depth course dedicated to high school students, organized by the Network for Philosophy and Humanistic Studies in collaboration with the School of Architecture of the University of Trieste.
The Liceo Galilei will participate with a group of fifth year students in the first round, from 23 to 25 September. Students will be able to follow conferences, lessons, seminars and workshops with active teaching methods.
The participation of teachers will be recognized, as in the last two years, for training purposes, together with any other cultural and educational activities, within the Tradition and Contemporaneity Maxi-project, conceived and organized by the FVG Section in agreement with the national SFI.

Outstanding results at the 2019 National Natural Science Olympiad
The National Natural Sciences Olympics organized by ANISN took place in Pavia, at the headquarters of the Almo Collegio Borromeo. The team of five FVG members included three students from the Galilei High School in Trieste, Ludovico Urbani (Bachelor's Degree category), Marcello Fonda (Bachelor's Degree Biology category) and Mattia Stoppari (Bachelor's Degree Earth Sciences category). The students, accompanied by Prof. Eva Godini, distinguished themselves in their categories and, in particular, Marcello Fonda and Mattia Stoppari both finished second, winning a place in the international team that will take them respectively to the IBO (International Biology Olympiad) in Hungary, from 14 to 21 July and to the IESO (International Earth Science Olympiad) in Korea, from 26 August to 3 September.
In preparation for the international events Marcello and Mattia will be involved in an intensive one-week internship, organized by ANISN (National Association of Natural Science Teachers, in Val D'Aosta (IESO) and in Naples (IBO)

PaGES 4 : Planning, Management and Execution of a Scientific Experiment in an International Research Center - The project, of which Liceo Galilei is a partner school, is coordinated by CERIC at the Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste research centre. The PaGES Project provides students with the opportunity to experience an innovative educational context by touching all the phases of a scientific experiment 'hands-on' and to learn about the fundamental tools for planning, managing, executing, evaluating and disseminating the results of a research project. It is financed by the FVG Region as part of the Regional Plan for the enhancement of the training offer (POF), Special Projects. For the Liceo Galilei, the teachers in charge of the project are Sebastiano Anderloni and Paola Nichetto.
