COMPUTER SCIENCE AND SOCIETY
CYCLE OF SEMINARS promoted by the Galileo Dept. (Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science) and coordinated by Profs. Andrea Coslovich and Eolo Di Casola, as part of the projects for the expansion of the training offer, as a reflection on the short and long-term social consequences of the availability of machines for the automatic processing of information to better understand and govern the digital revolution in all sectors, from economics to public administration, from geopolitics to education.
Thursday 11 April 2024 at 2.30 pm - the third seminar on "Informatics and Society" took place in the multifunctional teaching space of the high school: The applications of computer networks for the progress of contemporary sciences and technologies , organized by Eng. Graziano Scalamera , by Elettra Sincrotrone.
Abstract: by outlining the enormously complex scenarios deriving from the carrying out of experiments that push the frontiers of contemporary science, the seminar clarified how the pervasive use of information systems is now strictly necessary to govern this complexity. During the meeting ample space was left for the children's questions.
On behalf of the entire school community, we sincerely thank Eng. Scalamera for his availability and for the very high technical depth of his contribution .
