Solidarity flashmob

On Thursday 11 April 2024, a solidarity flashmob took place in Piazza Unit d'Italia in Trieste in favor of the Community of Sant'Egidio in which Galilei participated together with around 1,100 students from Trieste schools.

Together with their teachers, prof. Valentina Baldas, Rita Civila, Caterina Gabrielli, Patrizia Mariani and Arwen Emy Sfregola, the participants spread a huge and colorful patchwork tablecloth on which they shared a symbolic meal and donated food for the neediest people in our city.

The initiative promoted by the School Office of the Diocese of Trieste, by the Science and Faith Laboratory and by UCIIM is a project for schools entitled PARTICIPATION, in preparation for the 50th Social Week of Catholics in Italy.
